I heard someone say that Seth McFarlane is getting tired of the show, but he's locked into a contract. By killing off Brian, it's one less voice he has to do, so his workload lessens. Not saying I love the idea, by any means, but if it's true, a part of me understands.

Except Brian's voice is Seth's natural voice, so with that in mind, it would make more sense for him to kill off another one, as it's not much work to just talk normally.
